In the United States of America, clocks are moved forward in spring and back in fall for Daylight Savings Time (DST), giving more evening daylight. Starting November 4, 2024, MCX trading hours will be adjusted to align with these changes.ย
These revised timings will remain in effect until March 7, 2025. Please note that the revised time will include both of these dates. These changes aim to align market operations with global timing adjustments and ensure seamless trading.ย

2. Normal Trading Hours
Typically, there are two sessions in the commodity market. The morning session starts at 9 AM and ends at 5 AM. The second session, which is called the evening session starts at 5 PM and ends at 11:30 PM. As per the revised MCX trading time, during the DST in US, the evening session extends to 11:55 PM.ย
3. Muhurat Trading Session
Every year on the day of Diwali, a special one-hour trading session called the Muhurat session is held. It usually happens between 6:00 PM and 7:15 PM, but the exact timing is announced each year.
