The corrosion and rust not only affected and weakened the large parts but also were not good for the electrical system of the machine. Recently, most of the machines have turned to electrical, but if we look at the used heavy equipment, they also have fine electrical systems. Which is vulnerable to this corrosion and harsh working conditions?

Using corrosion inhibitors for electronics can help protect various enclosures and electrical boxes in a mine. We can utilize the corrosion inhibitors within the control system. This can be used as an alternative to the vapor. This process can directly protect the wire and or slow the process to reach a corrosion level. They help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion.

Extending the life of used equipment 

If your tools and essential components of the used heavy equipment, especially, are already showing rust, you might be able to save them. You heard it right! With products that stabilize and seal the rust, it can be worked on. Applying protective coatings to brand-new trucks or machines can save them from damage. 

For surfaces that are not painted, waxy or oily film-forming protectants are sometimes used, depending on whether the part is stationary or moving.

As time goes on, these coatings may become worn, so it is necessary to touch them up now and then. Doing this is much less expensive than replacing the whole piece of equipment. So, you can maintain the machine with cost-effective options and enhance the capability of the machine. 

Mining operation conditions for the machine 

Ground conditions in underground mining pose certain unavoidable challenges. But corrosion does not necessarily have to control the service life of critical equipment. Routine maintenance procedures and effective protective measures make it possible to provide extended service life and increased reliability.

Plants with ongoing corrosion issues can be assisted by a tailored maintenance plan that targets specific hot spots. Repairing and solving those issues upfront can reduce downtime and expense in the long run.

For the used heavy equipment, particularly, it is no less than a nightmare. The environmental conditions in the mining sector for the machine are harsh. Therefore, they demand that much extra care and recurrent maintenance.
